Archaeology
Photographed
here are some examples of our archaeological heritage including
Lios na gCon fort reconstruction near Clonakilty
and standing stones from Castlelack, Drombeg, Castletownshend,
and Derrynataggart.
Poulnabrone is probably Ireland's most famous dolmen and can be
found in the Burren, County Clare.
Ogham writing consists of combinations of lines carved in stone
and this one is located in the ruin of a romanesque church in
Ardmore, County Waterford.
The stone arched window is at the monastic settlement on Skellig
Michael in Kerry and the island ( or rock ) viewed through the
window is 'Little Skellig'
