Aerial stills photography is one of the most enjoyable parts of my work as I had planned on being a pilot and trained for this while still at secondary school.
The medical for the private pilot's license however showed that I was a little short sighted and I would not have been allowed to work as a commercial airline pilot at that time.
My last solo flight was in 1981.

I look forward to every opportunity to fly and combined with photography... I've got the best of both worlds.

This recent view of Cork airport shows the extent of
the new terminal building development.
This also shows a busy airport. The car park is full with 4 jets lined up on the ramp and another taking off from the main runway, not forgetting of course the helicopter buzzing around .... me. Photo; summer '03
